Empowerment Technology or E-Tech often deals with the use of different technologies such as mobile phones, telephone, computer and other devices to locate, save, communicate and to inform.Empowerment Technology is important for its innovative uses is sufficient in our daily lives.
Before finding out the Importance of Empowerment Technologies, specifically the subject in k-12, first we to know what is Empowerment, Technology and Empowerment Technology. Now, when we say technology, the thing that comes in our mind are computers and high-tech gadgets, but almost anything that people make are technology. In that sense, a computer and a mixing bowl are both human technology.
For example, if we need to show a proper social behavior or etiquette when dining or even in any formal situation, we also have an etiquette to follow on the internet, also called as Netiquette. It is important that every individual, especially the youth, should know the proper and polite way to communicate when using the internet. Netiquette’s golden rule is simple: do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Simple as that.
